Nowhere in the world you will find such wide beaches as the beaches of Terschelling. There are more places along the coast of the North sea that have enormous beaches. Most of them in the Netherlands and in Denmark. But looking at the Dutch islands in the “Waddenzee” the island of Terschelling and the island of “Schiermonnikoog” have some of the widest beaches in the world.
Terschelling is a small island in a line of islands which form the border between the “Waddenzee” and the “Noordzee” (Northsea). It’s one of five islands. All with their unique features.
I’ve always been a great fan of Terschelling. I visit the island every year at least once. And I always bring the camera! 🙂
Photography
The island is a very nice place for those who like to take photos. It has all kinds of features which include, beaches, coastal lines, dikes, dunes, viewing points, small (old) towns, loads of bicycle routes and a lot more. If you’re ever in the possibility of visiting, you should!
I’ve taken many photos of all these beautiful features over the years. I’ve included a couple of those photos with this article that were shot at the beach. But on my Instagram page and in my portfolio you’ll find many more photos of the island.
