You already own a great photo frame? Then it’s best to just choose a photo enlargement. Photo enlargements have a high color intensity due to the 12-color print and are delivered super fast. They are printed on sturdy (heavy) paper with a soft (matte) finish. The prints can be made in different sizes starting at 20×30 and the largest size is 60×90.

Dibond

A photo on dibond consists of two thin aluminum plates with a hard plastic layer of 3 mm thick in between. Dibond is extremely popular in galleries thanks to the high printing quality and the light yet very sturdy material.

A photo on dibond is printed on an aluminum plate with a white top layer. This layer ensures that the color white is also visible in the photo and has a smooth texture. This is not the case with a photo on brushed aluminum, and the color and coarse structure of aluminum is emphasized. Do you have a photo with a lot of white or a lot of color in it? Then it is best to choose a photo on dibond. Colors get a very natural and bright effect on dibond. Do you want the metal color and coarse structure to be visible in the photo? Then choose a photo on brushed aluminum.

Aluminium

A photo on aluminum is printed on a brushed aluminum plate. This plate has a coarse structure and gives photos a tough look. That is why aluminium prints with that typical metal look and an industrial interior go so well together.

Be are of the fact that the white colors in the photo are not printed on the aluminum, the white get’s left out so the washed grey color of the aluminium shows up. This gives your photo a robust appearance and certainly gives a nice effect with black and white photos but if white is the color that needs to show up on your print than I’de suggest you choose a different material.

A photo on aluminum comes standard with a adhesive system that allows you to easily attach the plate to the wall without drilling. It is also possible to choose a floating suspension system, so the wall decoration hangs slightly from the wall. This system can be chosen in your shopping cart after you’ve selected the aluminum product type, it’s called “float-mount”.

Canvas

Plexiglass

Plexiglas is a transparent thermoplastic artificial sheet. It is also called acrylic glass and is often thought of as glass.

So it is not really made of glass, but you do get the same depth effect. It is therefore often called a photo on glass. The advantage of the material is that it is much lighter and stronger. This allows you to hang the plate without worry because it does not break into a thousand pieces when it falls. A photo on plexiglass is 5 mm thick, which makes it super sturdy.

Poster size prints

Don’t want to spend too much money but still want something beautiful on your wall? Than choose a poster print! Posters are enlarged photos printed on matte paper or glossy paper.

A poster can easily be placed inside a frame you already own or one that matches your interior design.

For the small format photo poster (A3, A4) there are two different paper options that you can choose. The posters are printed on standard paper (also called satin gloss). The standard finish is heavy paper that has a very light glossy effect. You can also choose “uv-gloss”. This finish than has an even more glossy appearance.

It is also possible to opt for a premium finish, only available for larger sized poster. They are named HD posters. The premium finish uses 12 colors for your wall poster, so that colors really come alive. The premium finish paper of an HD poster is heavier than the standard paper used for regular poster prints and has a glossy finish.

Hanging system

There is a hanging system available for poster size prints. This system (“poster-hanger”) consists of wooden bars that can be attached to the bottom and top of the poster.

*) be aware, A3 and A4 do not have a standard photo 2×3 aspect ratio. This means you will loose a bit of the height of the photo. 1,5 cm for A4 and 3 cm for A3. Not much, but still worth to know!

Wood

Photos can be printed on birch and spruce. Both types of wood have unique properties, so you can print the photo on wood according to your own taste. If you have the photo printed on birch plywood, this type of wood is also called plywood, the photo will be printed on a thin wooden plate with a light wood texture.

A photo on spruce wood gives a super cool look. This type of wood consists of loose boards and can also be compared to a photo on scaffolding wood. The loose shelves ensure that your photo appears robust.

Both types of wood can be finished with a whitewash option. This will add a white underlay to your photo on spruce or birch plex. This can be very useful if you have a lot of white in the photo and want to see it again. The color white is not included as standard and therefore the wood color comes up without the whitewash.
